A board-certified and fellowship-trained vascular surgeon who also serves VCI Med Spa as CEO and medical director, Dr. Eugene Tanquilut started his vascular surgery private practice in 2014. His office grew rapidly as he began to build his practice by treating patients with varicose veins on the legs and face. Investing in a laser machine, he then delved into cosmetic medicine, performing laser hair removal and body sculpting. VCI Med Spa opened in 2020 as a premier medical spa with on-site vascular surgeons and a talented team specializing in cosmetic medicine.
Registered Nurse
Registered nurse Maria Tanquilut graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Loyola University Chicago in 1993. Her career experience has spanned many different positions over the years, from home health nurse and practice manager to a registered nurse in coronary care and medical intensive care units. She assisted Dr. Eugene Tanquilut in opening a vascular care private practice in 2014. In 2023, she became certified in performing cosmetic sclerotherapy. When she’s not working, Maria enjoys fitness, cooking, watching movies, reading, and spending time with her family. Her newest interest is pickleball.
Med Spa Manager
Samantha has been a licensed cosmetologist for over 25 years. Samantha became interested in aesthetics early on in her career which led her to pursue the aesthetics side of the beauty industry. With 15 years of management under her belt, she brings innovative ways to stay up to date with all the latest in the aesthetics world. She believes the best part of this line of work is making people feel their best by enhancing their natural beauty. When she is not with her VCI Med Spa team she enjoys traveling with her family.
Social Media Marketing & Content Lead
Kate seamlessly blends her expertise in social media marketing and content creation with her passion for skincare as an esthetician. She started her career
off in the body waxing industry and even opened her own business. She fell in love with medical aesthetics and combined her passion for marketing and skincare! You will usually see her behind the camera taking content for TikTok and Tnstagram. Outside of work she loves to travel, play video games and see live music.

Lizzie is a dedicated nursing aesthetics professional with a strong educational background and a passion for beauty and skincare. She recently earned her Master’s degree in Nursing from Indiana University as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and is certified as an advanced practice nurse. She has practiced as an obstetrics and gynecology nurse for the majority of her career and has a passion for women’s health in all aspects. Lizzie's journey in the world of aesthetics began during her nursing school years when she worked at Sephora. This experience allowed her to develop a deep appreciation for beauty and skincare. She understands the transformative power of these practices and is driven by her desire to help her clients achieve a radiant, natural glow from within. With a blend of comprehensive nursing education and a genuine love for beauty, Lizzie is committed to providing exceptional care and guidance to her clients, ensuring they not only look their best but also feel their best.

Becky comes from managing a tanning salon for 2+ years and an associates degree in business management and marketing. She is dedicated to facilitating seamless experiences and helping individuals achieve their aesthetic goals with confidence. Grace graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in Tinley Park where she received her Esthetician license. She has always had an interest in the esthetics industry and went to school at 18 right after graduating high school. She loves to help with all your skin concerns and being able to enhance your beauty from within.
